Important: Upcoming changes

Introduction

I am going to keep this post as short as possible, but I feel it is important to make you aware of some of the changes to what Potter’s place offers, and how the website will change. The following changes will take place as of October 1st 2019.

Tech support and training

As of October 1st 2019, I will no longer be offering technical support or technology training for the visually impaired. This includes reference guides in both braille and download, but there will still be the occasional blog post with a guide on a common tech question.

This will be replaced with a more mainstream approach, where the visually impaired are no longer the only clients. That approach is virtual assistant services. Anyone who knows me well will know that I love writing, technology, and generally helping people, so the more I looked into being a virtual assistant, the more I could just visualise it being a much better fit for me. More information will be revealed soon.

New tagline

Yes, you read that right, ever since the start of the website, the “Where technology comes to life” tagline has been used. That tagline will still be on my website, but it will act as a tagline for a certain page only. Want to know which page it will be? Want to know what the new main tagline will be? Stay tuned to find out, all shall be revealed very soon!

Changes in website and Facebook page layout

Over the next few days, as we move towards the end of this month, you may start to notice some changes to both this website and my Facebook page. Please be patient as old content is being removed or updated where needed.

Change in blog content

A change in service means a slight change in blog content. I will, where possible and appropriate, share my views on popular topics from the visually impaired world, and will share my experience of products that help me with my disability, but you will notice that I will also be posting more content related to other topics, such as health and wellbeing, beauty and cosmetics product reviews, and productivity hacks as I discover them.

I hope you will continue to support my journey with Potter’s place, if you would like to ask any questions feel free to comment on this post, or get in touch using my form on the contact page.
